Welcome to my Deja Vu and Vertical Volocity page, incase you didn't know Deja Vu and Vertical Volocity are both of Six Flags Great America's new roller coasters. They are both now opperational. V2(Vertical Volocity) Opened in May of 2001 and after a long construction delay Deja Vu opened during the Fright Fest but only stayed open for a few days due to weather and wind temperatures.

In May of 2001 Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois opened a revolutionary Roller Coaster that was manufactured by INTAMIN who has created such popular roller coasters like Cedar Point's Millennium Force, and Six Flags Park's SUPERMAN: RIDE OF STEEL. Vertical Volocity is an "Impulse" Coaster in which the inverted like train is launched out the station at a selected speed. In V2's case it's a 70 MPH launch into the forwards spike that twists 450' and back through the station into the back spike that goes straight up. During the second time backwards the Train stops and the top of the backwards spike for 1/10th of a second giving riders a huge scare and scream. I love this ride and I know many others enjoy it aswell. :)

Deja Vu

This Coaster had it's major Debut in October of 2001 during the fright fest which definetly made attendence increase. This is a SuperInvertigoRollerCoaster By VEKOMA. It's an update of the Invertigo Roller Coaster but the Spikes are steeper and taller and the inversions are more intense.
